Do you need Visa to attend the UK Convention/FAQ

We are getting a lot of requests for invitation letters to attend the Ugandan Convention in UK and here are some some guidelines.

Visitor::: We don’t send or give any form of documents to those visiting privately.  However, we advise that you go online and pay the ticket fee for the convention; book your hotel and air ticket and attach them to your application including any other required documents by the Embassy.You will be sent confirmation of your booking and payments, attach those to your

VISA application.
Sponsor::: Once you have made a commitment fee towards the sponsorship package chosen, we shall send you a confirmation letter as our partner/sponsor, an invitation letter, hotel booking and any other necessary documents required from us to support your application.

Where can I get advice?

VFS and its staff cannot give you advice on how to complete your application, or what type of visa you should apply for. How do I submit my application?

VFS manages the Visa Application Centre in Kampala, where you should submit your application and your biometric fingerscans.


Who decides whether I will get a visa?

UK Border Agency staff will process and decide your visa application.  VFS and its staff play no part in the outcome of your visa application. They cannot influence it in any way. If any member of staff employed by VFS say they can influence your application, you should tell the British High Commission immediately.
