UGANDA COVENTION – UK TO EXTEND ITS OPERATIONS IN THE MIDLANDS
January 2017 finished with The Uganda Convention – UK completing its first round of meetings with the leaders from the West Midlands Business Network Community and businesses to organize, promote and discuss The Uganda Convention – UKs 2017 activities namely, The Midlands Conferences and Midlands Trade Mission to Uganda allied to The Uganda Convention – UKs Annual Conference in Troxy – London.
2016 figures by the Office for National Statistics and Birmingham City University revealed the Midlands productivity levels has grown faster than the UK average over the last five years. To benefit from this growth, The Uganda Convention – UK, via its Midlands Ambassador Daniel Nsaba Buturo and partner Mr Geoff Edge from Geonomics Ltd, met with The Department for International Trade at Coventry at Warwickshire Chambers of Commerce, Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and The Black Country Consortium allied to businesses from the region.
The leaders from the Midlands Business Network Community and businesses were pleased with the programme and all called for an opportunity led agenda that leads to business.
The Uganda Convention – UK, led by Madam Zaharah Kayongo and Mr Daniel Nsaba Buturo paid a visit to The Uganda High Commission – UK in London to strategise on ways to conduct a conference that reflects the business demands of the West Midlands and Uganda. Madam Kayongo informed Mr Kobwa that the Midlands conferences will be held over two days, one for East Midlands businesses and one for West Midlands businesses as requested by the business community of the Midlands.
Daniel Nsaba Buturo and Mr Geoff Edge also scouted several possible venues for the May 2017 West Midlands Conference which will be a conference that declares to the sub region that Uganda is ready for Midlands business.
